Utah Tech University’s Official Update on COVID-19 Response Plan

As the both the number and severity of COVID cases continue to diminish in the Southern Utah community, Utah Tech University will be closing our COVID-19 Response Plan starting August 22, 2022. For the Fall 2022 Semester, Utah Tech will no longer conduct contact tracing or require completion of COVID-19 Self-Reporting forms.

In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Utah Department of Health, the University is encouraging faculty, staff and students to obtain COVID-19 vaccinations, isolate when sick and return to normal activities — including attending work and class — after 5 days of isolating and 24-hours of being symptom free. Individuals will be responsible to self-monitor for symptoms of illness and communicate with supervisors and instructors when isolation and temporary accommodations are necessary.

Utah Tech University leadership thank our students, faculty and staff for coming together over the last two and a half years and continuing to learn and teach during these unprecedented times. Our faculty and staff went above and beyond to continue to offer students an excellent educational experience and our students exhibited the grit Trailblazers are known for by adapting to new learning environments.
