Enrollment is now open for fall classes offered through Dixie State University’s Community Education program. Classes are offered in a variety of subjects and are open to anyone in the community.

The Community Education program is a collaborative effort between Dixie State, the City of St. George and the Washington County School District. Classes on a wide range of subjects, from archaeology and computer skills to photography and dance, are available to children, teens and adults.

“We are really excited about our classes this fall,” Tyson Pulsipher, manager of Community Education at Dixie State, said. “We have our returning classes that continue to be popular, as well as many new offerings we haven’t had before. I wish I had more time because there are about a dozen classes I’d like to take myself.”

While the classes are noncredit bearing, they are ideal for anyone seeking to gain a new skill, social interaction or self-improvement. Classes begin in mid-September, continue until December and usually take place once per week in the evening. Classes vary from one night only to twelve weeks in length.

Registration for Community Education classes is available in person at the Dixie State Campus at 46 S. 1000 East in the North Plaza Building, over the phone at 435-652-7929 or online at ce.utahtech.edu, where a full course catalog is also available.
