Dixie State University applauds St. George City and the City Council for honoring the rich heritage of our region by passing the Resolution Supporting Utah’s Dixie. The University also reveres our community’s pioneering spirit that represents the commitment to grit, service and sacrifice that has been essential to the institution’s growth and success throughout our 110-year history. Our community has continuously supported our institution, and we are committed to preserving our history through efforts such as applying to include the “D” on the Hill and Dixie Rock on the National Register of Historic Places. The University looks forward to continuing to partner with the City and members of the community to celebrate our cherished heritage.
