DSU’s Statement Regarding Recent Changes Affecting International Students in F-1 status

On July 6, 2020, the Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) issued a statement regarding international students in F-1 status. According to the new rules, if a university moves to a full online course of study for Fall 2020, then international F-1 students will not be allowed to stay in the country and take online classes.

The new rules do not apply to Dixie State University’s international students, as our fall classes are not fully online. Dixie State University is planning for a combination of in-person, blended, and online coursework for the Fall 2020 semester.
