Featuring trick-or-treating, a live pumpkin carving and costume contests, Utah Tech University’s annual Tricks & Treats Night is set to celebrate the fall season.
Scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 30, Tricks & Treats Night will be held on Palm Street, outside of Utah Tech’s Burns Arena. The fall festivities are open and free to attend for all ages.
“Tricks & Treats Night at Utah Tech is where spooky meets spectacular,” Brooke Ulrich, Utah Tech’s director of university events & promotions, said. “Our campus comes alive with costumes, candy and community spirit for all ages to enjoy.”
Trick-or-treaters will kick off the evening by entering through a festive pumpkin walk, featuring nearly 100 pumpkins and the live carving of a 1,700-pound pumpkin. The finished jack-o’-lantern will be lit and on display for the remainder of the evening as trick-or-treating and games are available.
Throughout the night, Utah Tech University’s Alumni Association will host costume contests at 5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m. with winners receiving Utah Tech swag bags. Guests are encouraged to bring a bag, basket, or bucket to collect treats as they enjoy the event.
