Inviting community members to help shape the priorities that will guide the university’s growth and impact over the next five years, Utah Tech University is hosting two community input meetings this month.
Designed to gather input to help inform the institution’s strategic plan, the meetings are set to take place on the Utah Tech campus:
- Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. in the Dunford Auditorium of the Browning Learning Resource Center
- Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. in the Boeing Auditorium of the Udvar-Hazy Business building
The meetings are free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend.
“Utah Tech’s future is stronger when it reflects the voices of those we serve,” UT President Shane B. Smeed said. “We want to hear directly from our community about how Utah Tech can best prepare students, build new ties to residents, strengthen our workforce and serve as a hub of innovation and growth for southern Utah.”
The meetings will provide opportunities for attendees to share their vision for the role UT plays in the region, identify emerging industry needs and highlight opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
Utah Tech University is a comprehensive polytechnic institution with an “active learning. active life.” approach to education. UT offers a wide range of academic and professional programs designed to prepare students for meaningful careers and engaged citizenship, while also serving as an anchor institution for the region’s economic and cultural development.
