Utah Tech University invites the community onto campus to join students in learning from the presenters featured in the Spring 2024 semester’s Trailblazing Speaker Series.
The Trailblazing Speaker Series is set to take place on Tuesdays at noon in the Dunford Auditorium inside of Utah Tech’s Browning Learning Resource Center. The 50-minute presentations are free to the public, and Utah Tech students who sign up for the course will receive one credit.
“The Trailblazer Speaker Series is the university’s longstanding, main lecture series in which experts in their fields are invited to speak on diverse topics,” Rob Gray, director of Learning Services and associate dean for Library & Open Learning Services at Utah Tech University, said. “The series is unique in that it gives students, faculty, staff and the community an opportunity to learn together about the latest content in multiple disciplines.”
The Trailblazing Speaker Series was designed to open the doors of Southern Utah to diverse ideas and personalities and aligns with the university’s strategic goal to provide community members with educational resources and learning opportunities.
“We have excellent speakers again this semester, so I’m excited for everyone to come experience these lectures,” Gray said.
Utah Tech University’s Library & Open Learning Services work to provide the resources necessary to facilitate research and enhance the curriculum and programs at the university. Opportunities like the Trailblazing Speaker Series serve to support and promote learning and intellectual engagement not only for students, but for faculty, staff and the Southern Utah community.
