Utah Tech University and the Utah Tech University Alumni Association are partnering to host the Dixie’s Got Talent Finale, a showcase of Southern Utah performers competing to raise funds for student scholarships.
The finale is set to take place at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 both in the M.K. Cox Performing Arts Center on the Utah Tech campus and live streaming. During the live finale, members of the in-person and virtual audiences alike can vote for their favorite contestant through the Donate to Vote campaign.
“As I have been working with the finalists, it has been so fun to watch the diversity of talents this year,” Geoffrey Reynolds, Dixie’s Got Talent co-producer, said. “You are all in for an extremely entertaining evening.”
At the finale show, first-place and runner-up winners are named in both youth and adult categories. Winners are determined by scoring from a panel of judges and the in-person and virtual audience votes, which can be secured with donations to the scholarship fund. Each winner will receive a cash prize, gain experience and exposure before a vast audience, and hold the title of Dixie’s Got Talent winner for the year.
This year’s Dixie’s Got Talent Finale Show will showcase 19 individuals who were selected after a two part audition process. Finalists in the Adult Category include:
- Ralayna Amy
- Jefferson and Cassie Beatty
- Jade Flake
- Eva Fry
- Kivrin Glassco
- Locklin Hammett

In addition to putting on a great show, the performers will help raise funds for Utah Tech University student scholarships. These awards have a tremendous impact on students’ lives and for many, make earning an education possible.
“I have the goal to be a language arts high school teacher once I graduate from Utah Tech, and I felt very supported once I found out I had received a scholarship,” Samantha Holland said. “Going back to school as a nontraditional student can be a little bit of a rocky go, and it just made me feel good that somebody was there looking out for me and supporting me.”
The free live stream, a complete list of contestants, further information and in-person tickets, which are $15-25 for general admission, are available at utahtech.edu/dgt.
