Utah Tech University to host Pumpkin Carving Class, Trailblazer Tricks & Treats Night
Featuring games, a costume fashion show and a pumpkin carving contest, Utah Tech University’s Trailblazer Tricks & Treats Night and Pumpkin Carving Class will kick off fall festivities on campus.
The Pumpkin Carving Class is set to take place at 6 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the University Plaza Building C parking lot, located at 1071 E. 100 South. Trailblazer Tricks & Treats Night will be held on Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Palm Street on campus. Both events are open to the public.
“Being able to enjoy the beautiful fall weather with our local community is a wonderful experience,” Events and Promotions Coordinator Valerie De La O said. “We’re so grateful for the community’s support and we love to show our appreciation with this celebration.”
The Pumpkin Carving class will include a carving demonstration where participants will learn tips and tricks for creating their own jack-o’-lanterns. After the demonstration, attendees will carve their own pumpkins and also have the opportunity to enter their masterpieces into the Tricks & Treats Night Pumpkin Walk Competition. Advance registration for the class is required and the cost is $5, which includes a pumpkin. Carving kits will also be available for $10. Register at utahtech.edu/halloween.
The Trailblazer Tricks & Treats Night will include the Pumpkin Walk Competition, a costume fashion show, food trucks, trick-or-treat booths, activities, games and more. Attendees will also have a chance to vote for their favorite pumpkins and prizes will be given out for the pumpkins with the most votes in three categories – most creative, scariest and silliest.
