Dixie Forum lecture series now available online for anytime viewing

Dixie State University’s popular lecture series Dixie Form: A Window on the World is now available for students and community members to watch virtually any time during the Fall 2020 semester.

Every Wednesday morning, new lectures will be posted online and highlight an expert presenting on that week’s topic. This semester, forums will feature everything from Utah’s Poet Laureate sharing about her literary form to scientific discussions varying from sustainability and trout conservation to genetics, stopping the spread of cancer and nuclear research.

“The Dixie Forum explores a variety of fascinating topics and each of our guests are experts in their fields,” said John Burns, Dixie Forum committee chair. “The guests graciously offer their time, knowledge and talents to our campus and community to help us enjoy a broader window on our world.”

In addition to watching the lectures, those interested can send questions about the week’s topic and presentation to Burns at burns@utahtech.edu, who will pass the inquiries along to the presenters and post their answers to the Dixie Forum website.
